Brush/Bulky Trash: must be set out at the front of your property line (not on sidewalks) no earlier than the Thursday before bulky trash week. For instance, for the week of January 23 pickup, Thursday January 19 is the first day bulky trash can be put out.  Earlier set out is a violation of City Code, resulting in a citation and/or fine up to $2000.00.

Acceptable Bulky Trash:  large limbs, shrubbery, bagged leaves (in sealed bags, max. 50 gallon capacity), appliances, furniture, mattresses & box springs.

Unacceptable Bulky Trash That Will Not Be Collected:  grass clippings, construction/remodeling debris (lumber/sheetrock, etc.), rocks, bricks, concrete & dirt.

*Christmas trees  The city recycles Christmas trees into mulch. Residents are responsible for transporting trees to Flag Pole Hill Temporary Mulch Site at Northwest Highway & Buckner Blvd., about one mile East of Ridgewood Park.  Call 215-670-6388 for more details.

GARBAGE:  Pick-up is every Monday and Thursday.

Roll carts for garbage pick-up are provided by the City. Roll carts are for household garbage only!  Do not place any yard waste, liquids, hot ashes, leaves, brush, or other bulky items in cart.  Place cart with handle toward house. Locate cart with 3 feet of clearance on each side and 1.5 feet in back to allow collection arm to grasp cart.
